This blog is an archive for the drawings, paintings, sketches, ephemera, and experiments that come from my studio practice. Many of these images are figure drawings from the live model, a major part of my daily practice. I titled this blog after a quote from the great life drawing teacher Robert Beverly Hale. I think it sums up what the practice of art making is all about.

Trapped motion
Some more drawings showing models in active poses on the "box". In these the support has been erased and I'm playing with the studying bodies in positions of trapped motion.
I always think of your drawings as being very full of line. It's interesting how many of these rely primarily on tone to do what they're doing.
